I have loved my time here and as you mentioned, this country is just amazing.

The only thing I would add is that you should keep in mind that life in Thimphu is very different than the life you might have in your posted location. You mentioned that you taught golf in schools all across the country, so that may have given you a better idea of what to expect. If you think you're up for a bit more of a challenge (which it sounds like you are) then I think BCF would be great for you.

Hope that helps. Feel free to drop me a line and ask any other questions that might be on your mind.

Thanks for reading the blog.

All the best,

NickNeekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17300837353838522876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4593254147285361811.post-23259434338002517192011-05-11T11:10:02.948+06:002011-05-11T11:10:02.948+06:00G'day Nick,
I've just happened to stumble...G'day Nick,

I've just happened to stumble upon your blog and I’m rather glad I did! It makes for great reading and I’m thoroughly enjoying your posts.
I’m a 21 year old Australian who was in Bhutan in 2009 and the start of 2010 working in Thimphu for an organisation called the Bhutan Youth Golf Association. I taught kids to play golf at Royal Thimphu Golf Course and at numerous schools throughout the country. Living in Bhutan was the most amazing experience of my life. The people and the country of Bhutan are simply beautiful and certainly left a huge mark on me, as I’m sure it has done to you.

Soak up the time that you have in Bhutan as I know when I first came home, I took me a little while to fully comprehend that little fact that with Bhutan being such an out of the way destination, getting back there to see those who you’ve become so close with may never happen in the future.

I’m back in Australia finishing off my university degree in English and am wondering if you would recommend applying for a teaching position with the BCF? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Keep up the excellent blog and enjoy the rest of your time in Bhutan.

Cheers

Nick Turnertalcy35https://www.blogger.com/profile/07945591897938396361noreply@blogger.com
